隐性的光
所谓“隐性的光”,指的并不是灯光的主体,而是把需求背后的环境进行综合性把握的思考方式。比起将灯光视为空间设计中魔术般的存在,光石更愿意把光比作一种建筑材料。其它材料是具象而可触摸的,灯光没有形状,甚至因为其它材料的存在才让它有了存在感。这种难得的灵活性就如内心,是触摸不到而又时刻会影响到人。
The so-called “hidden light” doesn’t refers to the light itself, but a comprehensive way of thinking about the environment behind demand. Rather than regarding light as a magic in space design, PROL prefers to compare it to a building material. Most materials are tangible, but light has no shape, whose existence is even based on other materials. This kind of flexibility is like human mind, which is intangible but can affect people all the time.
“光的体验感,一定源于内心,归与自然,这是东方的隐喻之美,这也是东方的至理哲学”。灯光设计的存在依附于空间的特性,但无论是建筑、景观,还是室内照明,都应该遵循与自然对话的设计构思。光石善于捕捉空间与内心之间的微妙气场。借由构造、质感和形态,克制地以灯光衬映出材料最本真的样貌。用有层次、有情感又隐性的设计手法,呈现与自然融为一体的灯光效果,达到寓情于景的空间体验。
“Light experience must come from the heart and return to nature. This is the oriental metaphorical beauty, as well as the oriental philosophy”.The existence of lighting design depends on the space feature; however, whether it is architecture, landscape, or interior lighting should follow the design concept of dialogue with nature. PROL is good at capturing the delicate aura between space and heart. Through the structure, texture and shape, the most authentic appearance of material is reflected by light in a restrained way. A layered, emotional and implicit design technique is used to present the lighting effect integrated with nature, so as to achieve the space experience of combining emotion with scenery.

1.商业价值(物理层面):对消费欲望的引导和对消费心理的暗示,是光石在成功商业作品中探索隐性的光极大的收获。光石从物理层面将光分为显性(视觉直观感受到的光感)与隐性(视觉间接感受到的光感)。
相比前者,光石发现隐性的光可以为空间创造更持久的商业价值。所以光石在设计光的时候又在设计黑暗,从分析空间属性,到洞察使用者需求,借助的光学与建筑学等专业学科,给予商业空间最合理的灯光解决方案。让光感成为影响情绪的催化剂,在不经意与不刻意之间,潜移默化的给人以暗示,帮助空间自身的商业价值达到最大化。
1. Commercial value (physical level): The guidance on consumer desire and the hint of consumer psychology are the great achievement that PROL gained in their exploration of the recessive light in successful commercial works. PROL physically divides light into dominant light (light perception sensed visually) and recessive light (light perception sensed indirectly).
Compared with the former, PROL found that the recessive light can create more lasting business value for space. Therefore, when designing light, PROL is also designing darkness. From analyzing spatial property to having an insight into the user needs, PROL gives the most reasonable lighting solutions for commercial spaces by virtue of professional disciplines in optics and architecture. When light sensation becomes a catalyst to affect emotions, it gives hints to people inadvertently and spontaneously, maximizing the commercial value of the space itself.
2.社会价值(自然层面):新技术虽然给我们的生活带来了非常多的可能性。但它改变的毕竟只是环境。光石一直认为遵循让光自然发生,拒绝一切脱离自然的灯光设计而造成的光资源浪费。凭借多年精湛的灯光设计经验,为社会节约极高的电力成本和社会能源。
2. Social value (natural level): Although new technologies have brought many possibilities to our lives. But it only changed the environment after all. PROL advocates following natural generation of light and rejecting all the waste of light resources caused by unnatural lighting design. With many years of lighting design experience, the team has saved extremely high electric power cost and social energy.

 

3.文化价值(精神层面):“随风潜入夜,润物细无声”。属于东方人的感情本身就是含蓄的。消隐自身的感情却又处处有情,静观万物却可观得四方,这是东方人的独有精神气质。就如庄子的名言“无何有之乡” 蕴藏着很重要的一种价值观,正因为灯光是“隐”的,才能显出本质,这样就其拥有可能性来说,非常丰富。光石是站在世界性的角度缜密,细致地探索隐性的光,探索隐性的文化价值及东方美学的特征。
3. Cultural value (spiritual level): “Come into the night with the wind, and wet things silently”. The oriental feelings are inherently implicit. It is the unique spiritual temperament of the Orientals to conceal their own feelings but have humaneness everywhere, while observing all things around. Just like Zhuangzi’s famous saying “a land of nothing”, it contains a very important value. It is precisely because the light is “hidden” that it can show its essence, so it has infinite possibilities. From an international perspective, PROL is meticulously exploring the recessive light, the hidden cultural value and the characteristics of oriental aesthetics.
